The design team at Gensler struck a perfect balance between sophistication and functionality when they designed the headquarters for Sunstone Hotel Investors. Warm wood finishes throughout the space compliment the textured "made by hand" look of rich carpet tiles aranged to look like artisan rugs. The conference room is a showstopper: A heavy, textured, hand-hooked wool rug, sits on top of rich oil finished oak floors. The Gensler-designed, metal conference room table looks like a piece of modern art and delivers a visual knockout.
